Using the site

Roofings Calculator (“the site”) is provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial use. You may use the calculators, read the guides, print results for your own use and share links to pages. You may quote short passages with a link back to the page you quoted from.

You may not copy the site’s text, calculators or code to republish them elsewhere, scrape the site automatically at a rate that burdens it, remove or obscure the advertising, or use the site in a way that breaks the law or interferes with other people’s use of it.

Accuracy and estimates

The calculators do arithmetic with the figures you enter and with the default assumptions listed on each page. They produce estimates. We take care over the formulas and test them, and we review the default figures regularly, but prices, rates, rules and specifications change, and your own situation may differ from the assumptions. You are responsible for checking a result against your own documents before relying on it. See the disclaimer.

No professional advice

Nothing on the site is financial, legal, medical, tax or engineering advice. Decisions that carry money, safety or legal consequences should be made with your own documents in front of you and, where appropriate, with a qualified professional.

Advertising and links

The site carries advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertisements are labelled, and we do not control which products they promote. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. We do not, at present, carry affiliate links; if that changes, the pages concerned will say so.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site is provided “as is” and without warranty of any kind, and we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site or your reliance on anything in it, including any result from a calculator. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Intellectual property

The text, calculators, code, design and name of the site are ours unless otherwise stated. Trademarks mentioned on the site belong to their owners and are used only to identify their products.

Changes

We may change these terms by updating this page; the date at the top shows when. Continuing to use the site after a change means accepting the revised terms.
